I am an LCSW (UC Berkeley, 1969) with 35 years of private practice experience with individuals, couples and groups. I work psychodynamically and from a variety of object relations, interpersonal, and intersubjective approaches.
I have a general practice (individuals and couples) with a specialty in working with Adult Children of the Mentally Ill (ACMIs). I also conduct interactive psychodynamic groups, both for ACMIs only and for clients with a broad range of issues.
I offer seasoned therapists the opportunity to receive expert consultation in working with adults with early developmental issues, such as those that result from growing up with a psychologically impaired parent, such as attachment issues, and problems around separation/individuation. I also offer help in how to form and conduct interactive/interpersonal psychodynamic groups.
I will help interns to develop their unique style and strengths, as well as to recognize how their own material impacts their work. My style is supportive and straightforward.
